how to connect a mac / osx computer to a windows (server) vpn

| Out of the box you can do this on a mac in a few steps: - open system preferences and select network - click the + symbol in the lower left to add a new connection - choose VPN as the interface - Select PPTP as the vpn type, enter any name for the connection and click on create - select the VPN connection you have just created on the left hand side - enter the windows vpn server address and your username for the VPN - click on authentication and type in your password and click ok - click apply and afterwards connect and you should be connected |
