| To Backup/Export (and later import) Account Settings in Outlook 2007 / 2010 do the following: Start -> Run -> regedit go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook and click on file -> export choose a filename and note where you saved the file. to later import it, simply double click the file. note that passwords have to be reentered, all other settings should stay the same. to backup your data simply go to -> menu -> file -> Data File Management (or account settings and click the Data File Management tab) and click on the open folder account. copy / backup those files to external media. |
