brother control center 3 - brother mfc printer does not show mail option

| Apparently brother has created a software that does not notice when a printers ip address changes, therefore if brother control center can not connect to your printer anymore and the printer therefore does not show the option to scan to email you need to do the following: open up the registry by typing: regedit in the start menu search for the old ip adress of the printer (e.g. 192.168.0.10) and replace all occurences with the new address of the printer (e.g. 10.5.5.10). reboot / restart brother control center and everything should work again. |
